In order to use Slovenian motorways and expressways, all motorized vehicles have to use an e-vignette unless exceeding 3.5 tonnes of maximum technical permissible weight, including:
- Motorcycles: All single-track motor vehicles (Class 1).
- Passenger Cars: Standard cars, SUVs, and minivans with a height above the front axle of up to 1.3 meters (Class 2A).
- Vans and Light Trucks: Larger vehicles with a height above the front axle of 1.3 meters or more (Class 2B).
- Motorhomes: Specialized vehicles equipped for living (Class 2A, regardless of height, as long as they are under 3.5t, if they are registered as camping vehicles).
Unlike in other EU nations you do not need a separate vignette for a trailer or a pulled caravan.
All vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of over 3.5 tonnes are subject to the distance based toll system DarsGo.
